MIB exists to protect people from the devastation of uninsured and hit-and-run driving. We make roads safer by getting uninsured drivers off our roads.
Over half of adults in the UK (55%) are unaware that privately owned e‑scooters are illegal on public roads, according to our latest YouGov survey ⚠️
While these vehicles are often seen as low‑risk, riders are uninsured, unprotected, often inexperienced and capable of causing serious harm.
High speeds, instability and poor visibility increase the risk of serious injuries for both users and pedestrians.
Keep our roads and pavements safe, don't ride illegal e-scooters.

It might be the British Grand Prix this weekend but we have some bad news... despite your biggest hopes and dreams, you're (likely!) not a racing driver.
You can keep your driving career on the right path, however, by quickly checking your motor insurance is in place and you've not made one of the top insurance mistakes: https://t.co/HN65QM3SpM
Think your car insurance is set to auto-renew? Double check❗
52% of 18-24 year olds are unaware that not all motor insurance policies are set up to auto-renew.
If you do have auto-renew on your policy, ensure it's active and your payment details are up-to-date 💳 If your renewal fails, you could be left unknowingly driving uninsured and facing the consequences:
❗Fines from £300... to unlimited amounts!
❗Six points (if you're a new driver, this could mean losing your licence)
❗Your vehicle seized and even crushed
Double-check your policy today ➡️ https://t.co/PKJbwU6lOZ

Think it doesn't matter if you misrepresent the horsepower, cylinder capacity, or value of our vehicle? Think again!
Whilst an insurance policy cannot restrict cover for these matters (meaning there is a valid policy in place), they will likely only provide third-party liability... so your own vehicle will not be covered. That means, should you have a collision, your prized possession will not be repaired or replaced!
Even more scary to many is the fact that, in some instances, your insurance providers may sue for breach of contract or for any costs incurred.
Don't risk it #DriveInsured

E-scooters are not harmless ⚠️
E-scooters, e-bikes and other similar vehicles can cause serious injuries, such as spinal and brain injuries that stay with victims for life.
If you injure someone while riding uninsured, you could be liable for their medical bills and compensation, leaving you with a hefty debt to pay off.
Help keep pedestrians and other road users safe, it's not worth the risk.
