Hi there. After I finished my day of work at 1 this afternoon,I decided to spend a few moments to a place where I spent 10 days on this day in 2023. My hospital room at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City,Iowa. I had me a mini stroke the morning of Sunday,May 20,2023. This is the room that I resided in with a great staff.Three years later,I get a little bit tired at times but I am doing okay. I had phone calls from all over I recall and visitors about every day during the time. It's great to be alive today. Thank you Van Diest Medical Center..Enjoy the rest of your day.

I decided to visit the gravesites of my parents on this Mother's Day...and the gravesite of my brother Tom who died nearly three weeks ago this week. We still miss him. Thank you for your messages everyone...means a lot. Have a good evening and week.

Last ( Saturday) night,I felt happy to attend the Friends of St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School Ball in Webster City..After the week our family experienced...we needed this..Good time for everyone. Thank you again St. Thomas Aquinas School for the Ball!

What a difference a week makes. We said our farewell this afternoon to Tom Powers who died a week ago this evening at the age of 77. Our family was in attendance for the funeral mass and burial in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery north of Duncombe. Those who served in Vietnam with my brother were at the service in their motorcycles. I had the privilege of reading at the funeral today. We are sure going to miss Tom...Thanks again everyone...enjoy your evening...
