Slushies contain glycerol to prevent it freezing solid. In high quantities, especially to under fives, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

Please do not give slushies to children under 5. And, limit older children to just one.

Water beads are especially appealing to young children. But they can be really dangerous if swallowed.
