Today in History 📅 On Jan. 6, 1965, Gov. Terry Sanford announced NIEHS (formerly HEW) would locate in Research Triangle Park. Soon followed by IBM, this helped shape RTP and transform the region.

Come see our outdoor exhibit "Booker T. Spicely: Citizen, Soldier, Martyr, Hero" before it's gone! ⌛ Today (Jan 5th) is the last day to see our outdoor banner exhibit about the life, legacy, and murder of Booker T. Spicely, a black soldier shot by a bus driver in Durham in 1944.
