Today, the Commandant Zeestrijdkrachten observed a Korps Mariniers Elementary Vocational Training session, during which the Brigadier General of the Korps Mariniers trained some of the soon-to-be Marines alongside the instructors. It was an outstanding turnout for the Marines.
(1/2) The Netherlands Maritime Forces (NLMARFOR) have just finished a joint patrol with the Malaysian navy. The exercise consisted of escorting a supply ship while enemy attackers tried to sabotage the escort.

🇺🇳 A squad of members of the Kon. Marechaussee was deployed yesterday to Qatara, Alhazira, to assist in the United Nations Peacekeeping operation "Steadfast Resolve."
Alongside foreign armed forces, the Marechaussee has assisted in combating insurgent groups.
The Commandant Zeestrijdkrachten and the Chief of Defence met with the King and Prince of Norway to discuss future operations. They later toured their Naval base together with the Commandant Korps Mariniers and Admiral of the Norwegian Navy.
Recently, the 2019 version of the Zr. Ms. Pelikaan has been decommissioned and replaced by the newly refurbished version alongside a ship launch ceremony. This version includes two 50. Cals, 10 cargo slots for cargo recovery, and even a functional cafeteria! How cool is that?
