In Memoriam: Former ESUT Chair Ali Serdar Gözen (1963-2024)

The EAU was saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. Ali Serdar Gözen at the age of 61. Prof. Gözen was Chair of the ESUT from 2020 until its merger with EULIS earlier this year.

We learned with sadness the news of the death of the valuable Prof. Ali Serdar Gözen, chairman of the European Urology Association ESUT. He contributed to many of our colleagues with his smiling face and positive approach. He supported the training of our colleagues from all over Turkey in the clinic he worked in Heilbronn, Germany. He gave unlimited support to the development of basic and advanced laparoscopy with courses at every opportunity in Turkey. My condolences to Turkish Urology community , his family and friends. 😔🙏 @Uroweb @eauesut
