Eco Warriors are helping the environment by planting some winter bulbs. We are working with @Veolia, learning about #biodiversity and the importance of all the #ecosystems.
♻️ RECYCLE! RECYCLE! RECYCLE! ♻️ The children sorted recyclable material into 4 groups, plastic, glass, metal and card. They were able to identify what material each item is made of. @ECOLHS1@HeadLHS@LHS_Watford
Our commitment to reducing plastic use/ trialling using bottles for milk at school starts in year 2 next week where we wash bottles and the-use and use paper straws( waiting for our bamboo ones to arrive) #sustainability
💚A huge thanks to @LoveWilko Watford for #donating#pollinator friendly seeds for our #EarthDay activities. We have used them to make a plantable paper, seed bombs and planted them around the school. We can't wait to see them bloom. 🌻💚🌍 @LHS_Watford
Just a snippet of the wonderful creations from year 6 today for #WWD2021 they had a choice of researching an endangered animal, woodland or forest or about fair trade and then to create a miniature habitat, a leaf collage, plant a tree or buy something fair trade! @ECOLHS1
Today for World Wildlife Day we listened to a @nowpressplay story at home about deforestation, and then designed a poster to Save The Rainforests. Some great work Team Oak. I’m proud of you! 🌍 @HeadLHS@LHS_Watford@ECOLHS1
We started #WorldWildlifeDay by reading The Tree Lady together. We learnt about a very determined, inspirational woman called Katherine Sessions. Here are some examples of work where we used our inference skills to find out about the character. @HeadLHS@ECOLHS1
