A good meeting with President @AH_AlSharaa in the margins of #UNGA.

The EU remains a reliable partner for a peaceful, stable and inclusive transition in Syria, free from harmful foreign interference.

We are actively working for Syria’s reconstruction, recovery and the safe and voluntary returns of refugees.

As next steps, we aim to mobilise more investment and upgrade our partnership.

Very good meeting with Prime Minister @CMShehbaz at #UNGA.

The EU values its partnership with Pakistan.

Our Strategic Engagement Plan reflects both the breadth of this partnership and the shared commitment to democracy, the rule of law, human rights and civic space.

We work together on stability and security. We thanked the Prime Minister for his initiative to mediate in the conflict between the US and Iran.

Pakistan is playing an important role in support of de-escalation, dialogue and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

We discussed how to take our partnership forward, from trade to addressing illegal migration.

Dear @NikolPashinyan, it is good to see you as always.

We are bringing Armenia closer to the EU, while working on a peaceful and prosperous South Caucasus.

We are building roads and bridges with our €200 million connectivity package.

And bridges between people, with our peace-fostering investments.

Our Autonomous Trade Measures will open new opportunities.

With 80% of Armenia’s exports to the EU market now tariff free.

We expect the final adoption of these measures by EU legislators tomorrow - in record time!

And finally we are strengthening energy security.

So: the 🇪🇺🇦🇲 partnership is moving fast, forward and stronger than ever.

The ocean doesn’t stop at borders. Neither should ocean observation. Sharing science and knowledge globally helps us better understand our ocean. Under the EU and Canada leadership, the OceanEye International Alliance for the Global Ocean Observing System join forces.

Dear Volodymyr @ZelenskyyUa, Europe is working harder than ever to strengthen Ukraine’s defence.

Our new 🇪🇺🇺🇦 anti-ballistic programme can help rapidly scale up production.

More defence support is coming.

And as reforms in the Rada progress, more budget support too.

We have €37 billion still available in this calendar year.

In New York, my message to every leader is clear:

we must all step up support for Ukraine’s defence.

Europe and Australia see the world in the same way.

And this joint vision translates into concrete actions.

Our Security & Defence partnership is fully at work.

We disburse €3.3 billion for drones and missiles under the Ukraine Support Loan.

With this new payment, 2026 disbursements to Ukraine reach nearly €15 billion.

Excellent meeting with UN Secretary General @antonioguterres, together with @eucopresident and HRVP @kajakallas, ahead of UNGA81

The EU will always remain a supporter of multilateralism and of a rules-based international order with a reformed @UN at its heart.

We thanked Secretary-General Guterres for our close cooperation throughout his term, from Ukraine to the Middle East, and on climate.

As well as for driving the UN80 reforms forward.

The goal is clear: a UN fit for today’s world.

More effective.
More responsive.
That turns global cooperation into solutions on the ground.
