Incoming Mayor of the City of Cape Town, Hon. @Nolutshungu_N, spoke to Heart FM about her candidacy.
The Cape Metro has two cities: you have the side of the privileged, and you have the side of the underprivileged.
The EFF will end the apartheid spatial planning that continues to divide the people of the Cape Metro.
Municipalities no longer hire workers directly, but rely on labour brokers and politically connected companies for technical, engineering, financial, and administrative services. This has contributed to failing service delivery, with potholes, sewer spillages, damaged water infrastructure, poor maintenance of sports facilities, inadequate housing, and illegal dumping left unattended.
The EFF commits to upgrading and maintaining sanitation infrastructure, including sewer systems and wastewater treatment plants, to eliminate sewer spillages and ensure dignified sanitation services for all communities.
