We are excited to introduce Superdense Consensus (SDC) - a new and unique multi-task Proof-of-Work architecture.
Qubitcoin can now run multiple independent PoW challenges simultaneously on the same chain, each with its own difficulty adjustment and activation schedule.
The first public code release is now available on the sdc-testing branch:
We invite developers, researchers, and miners to explore the implementation, run tests, experiment with new workloads, and share feedback.
Additional technical details are included in the updated README.
Important notes:
– This is an early-stage release; expect rough edges
– Unit/integration tests and additional features are actively in development
– Do not use the binaries compiled from the new branch in the production environments (critical bugs may be present)
The next evolution of blockchain won’t be faster transactions,
it will be verifiable physics.
Today, smart contracts can only validate digital signatures, hashes, and on-chain logic.
But the real world runs on energy, chemistry, materials, simulations, and physical models, none of which blockchains can verify.
This is where @qubitcoinx becomes a true outlier.
By turning its decentralized mining network into a quantum-inspired simulation layer, $QTC could enable a new class of smart contracts that validate physical outcomes:
•battery efficiency simulations
•material properties
•chemical reaction modeling
•energy system predictions
•complex system dynamics
Tasks too expensive or impossible to fake because they’re rooted in physics.
QTC becomes the “Proof-of-Physics” engine for the next generation of autonomous systems.
In a world where AI agents and automated markets need trustable, real-world validation…
no other crypto project is even trying to build this.
Smart contracts today verify math.
Smart contracts tomorrow will verify physics.
And QTC might be the layer that makes it real.
Crypto has seen this movie before.
Tiny market caps. Real utility. A demo or partnership… and then detonation.
- $RNDR → From ~5M MC to 200x after showing real GPU utility + NVIDIA involvement.
- $LINK → 100x when the first real oracle demo hit mainstream and Google joined ⬇️
NVIDIA’s quiet expansion into quantum computing — from CUDA-Q to NVQLink — points toward hybrid GPU–quantum workflows. If Qubitcoin’s demo on Nov 14 showcases similar primitives, it could mark one of the first decentralized uses of this stack for proof-of-work optimization. $QTC
🎉 Happy 1st Birthday, Qubitcoin!
One year ago, we turned GPUs into quantum simulators and launched the world’s first quantum-inspired Proof of Work network.
For our anniversary we prepared 10 fascinating facts about our journey over this incredible first year:
1️⃣ The Launch Date Mystery
We launched on October 29, 2024 - exactly one year ago today! But here's a fun secret: we originally planned to launch on Halloween for the spooky vibes, but decided to go a day early when our tests were fully completed at 11:47 PM on the 28th. We took it as a sign from the quantum universe.
2️⃣ From 700 to 3,000 GPUs
In just one year, we've grown from a handful of early miners to over 700 participants running 3,000+ GPUs making us the world's largest decentralized quantum computing network. That's more distributed quantum simulation power than most university research labs!
3️⃣ The "Bitcoin Blueprint" Legacy
Qubitcoin is built on a Bitcoin Core fork, but with quantum superpowers. We kept the 21 million token supply cap as a tribute to Satoshi, but instead of wasting energy on useless hash puzzles, every single mining operation preforms quantum simulation.
4️⃣ The Night We Almost Broke Physics
During early testing in September 2024, one of our developers ran a simulation that produced results that seemed to violate known quantum mechanics. We spent 72 sleepless hours convinced we'd discovered something groundbreaking... until we found a sign error in the rotation gate implementation. The bug is now immortalized as "The Minus Sign Incident" in our dev chat history.
5️⃣ NVIDIA's cuQuantum is Our Secret Weapon
We leverage NVIDIA's cuQuantum SDK (specifically cuStateVec) to run our default GPU simulations. A 16-qubit circuit simulation takes just ~1 millisecond on a typical RTX 5060. That means we're processing quantum circuits faster than you can blink - literally!
6️⃣ The "Bring Your Own Solver" Revolution
Unlike traditional mining where everyone runs identical code, our BYOS (Bring Your Own Solver) architecture means miners can plug in their own custom quantum simulators, CPU-based, GPU-optimized, tensor networks, or even actual quantum hardware. We've had miners experiment with everything from Raspberry Pi clusters to modified atom trap systems.
7️⃣ The Accidental Academic Citation
Three months after launch, a quantum computing researcher from ETH Zurich accidentally cited data from our network in a preprint paper about variational quantum algorithms. They thought our public simulation results were from a university cluster! When they discovered it was from a cryptocurrency network, they were so impressed they joined as a validator and now contributes quantum circuit benchmarks.
8️⃣ The 24-Qubit Challenge Bounty
In March 2025, we launched a bounty challenge: successfully simulate a specific 24-qubit circuit faster than our implementation and win QTC. A team from South Korea won using a custom algorithm that was 3.7x faster. Plot twist: they were high school students working on a science fair project. We hired one of them as a part-time contributor after graduation, and their algorithm is now under our continued research.
9️⃣ Our Not-So-Secret Motto
Our GitHub readme cheekily ends with "It has not escaped our notice that the system we introduced suggests possible new findings in the realm of physics simulations" - a direct homage to Watson and Crick's famous DNA paper understatement. We like to think we're being similarly humble about potentially revolutionizing how humanity develops quantum algorithms.
🔟 The Texas Connection
Superquantum, the organization maintaining the protocol, is based in Texas which gives us the unique distinction of being the only quantum computing cryptocurrency project where you can legitimately say "Everything's bigger in Texas, including our quantum circuits."
We’ll be celebrating our 1st anniversary at @MIT on November 14,
together with researchers, developers, and early contributors who helped bring quantum-inspired Proof of Work to life.
During the event, we’ll also host the qPoW demo.
Thank you to every miner, validator, developer, and supporter who's helped us prove that cryptocurrency mining doesn't have to be purposeless computation - it can literally advance human understanding of quantum, and we are here to make it a reality.
May the qubits be with you!
Here's to Year Two! 🥂
— The Superquantum Team
🎉 @qubitcoinx turns 1 year old on October 28!
In the weeks following its anniversary, a major event will take place at @MIT
— both digital and physical — where $QTC will showcase its progress, unveil new partnerships, and present the first live demo of its distributed quantum computing network.
An official announcement from the team will be coming soon with all the details.
The future of decentralized computation is unfolding.
“Can Google or any tech giant create a computation so complex that even they cannot verify the result?”
A modern take on the omnipotence paradox, illustrated by @MYShalaginov and @MikeDubrovsky in their paper “Quantum Proof of Work with Parametrized Quantum Circuits.”
This question framed their approach to verifiable quantum computation.🧵
First milestone unlocked.
We hit 20 installs and we’re celebrating with a 20 $QTC giveaway.
Smash Like, hit RT, and tell us where you see $QTC in a year.
📊 Hashrate status at block height 51,282:
Total hashrate: 41.70 GH/s
Network maturation evident through higher difficulty and increased miner participation. The quantum simulation workload scaling demonstrates healthy network growth.
