Building toward a better future and environmental justice in Minneapolis 🌱 A redevelopment project stewarded by East Phillips Neighborhood Institute (EPNI)
Join us for an important community meeting hosted by EPNI & The Little Earth Protectors as we discuss the city's initial offer for the Roof Depot land split. Your voice matters in shaping the future of our neighborhood! Together we can ensure our community's needs are prioritized
EPNI’s Farm Steward and Plant Scientist, Forest Hunt (Turtle Mountain Ojibwe), has been hard at work to create indigenous medicinal products for the East Phillips neighborhood. Combining cultural knowledge and plant science, a lot of work and research goes into each product.
We had a great time yesterday at the second annual Harvest Moon Community Solutions Festival! Thank you to those of you who attended, those who vended, and all those who helped put this on! Our team couldn’t have made this happen without the support of community.

The plan to transform the Roof Depot to a community-owned urban farm & climate resiliency hub is just one example of inspiring people-powered solutions in East Phillips

Many of us at EPNI got together on Friday to ground into the current moment and set intentions for what’s to come.
We're so grateful for this neighborhood, everyone who has stewarded the community’s vision over the years and all of you who are here helping to defend it today 💫
Here's a little bit more about one of the grants EPNI recently received to build outdoor farm infrastructure with recycled wood waste on top of the Roof Depot parking lot, and hire on some youth apprentices from the neighborhood! 🪵
