I attended the Buffalo Police C District Community Meeting to hear directly from residents about the public safety challenges facing their neighborhoods.

I spoke with local mothers who shared heartbreaking stories about how crime has impacted their families and their daily lives. They want safe streets, accountable leadership, and someone who will put victims first.

As a former federal prosecutor, I know what it takes to hold criminals accountable. As Attorney General, I'll work every day to make New York's communities safer for every family.

This is what poor fiscal management looks like.

Moody’s has revised Buffalo’s credit outlook from Stable to Negative, warning about declining reserves, structural budget deficits, and the City’s continued reliance on one-time revenues to balance its books. That’s not a financial plan, it’s a budget held together with temporary fixes.

@MayorSeanRyan bears responsibility for allowing the City’s finances to deteriorate to this point. Sound budgeting means living within your means, building reserves during good times, and confronting structural deficits before they become a crisis. Instead, Buffalo now faces a warning from the bond market that its fiscal trajectory is moving in the wrong direction.

And where was Comptroller @TomDiNapoli? A true fiscal watchdog doesn’t wait until a rating agency raises the alarm. The job is to identify financial risks early, demand corrective action, and protect taxpayers before borrowing costs rise and fiscal options become more limited.

This should be a wake-up call for every city in New York, including New York City and @ZohranKMamdani. Get your fiscal house in order. The bond market doesn’t care about political speeches or excuses. It rewards discipline and punishes poor financial management.

When government fails to manage taxpayer dollars responsibly, taxpayers are the ones left holding the bill.

Spent the evening in Buffalo with the @ErieCountyGOP and loved every minute of it.

Buffalo is a special place full of tough, proud, hardworking people who helped build New York. You can feel the grit, history, and heart of this city everywhere you go.

But Buffalonians are tired of being forgotten by Albany politicians and decades of one-party rule. Families are being crushed by high taxes, rising costs, and policies that make life less affordable while opportunity keeps leaving Western New York.

Buffalo deserves investment, accountability, good-paying jobs, and leaders who actually respect taxpayers again.
