We couldn't ask for a finer way to honor the 84th anniversary of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress's maiden flight than by showcasing the world's only two airworthy examples: FIFI and @B29DocsFriends

Both are frequent Oshkosh visitors, with this photo from AirVenture 2017 marking the first time in decades two Superfortresses flew side by side. Happy anniversary and keep 'em flying!

The Bakeng Deuce is an often-overlooked homebuilt from the 1970s, introduced during an era when aviation was chasing radical innovations and extreme experimental concepts.

Unfold those wings! Today, the Fairey Gannet celebrates its 77th first-flight anniversary. (Not that we needed an excuse to show off its awesome design.😉)

Developed for British naval carrier decks, this warbird entered service in 1953 and served faithfully until its retirement in 1978.
