What happens when pioneers of the green building movement come together with the next generation of sustainability leaders? Momentum.
EarthX recently hosted an intimate reception in Dallas honoring global environmental business leader Rick Fedrizzi, bringing together longtime colleagues and emerging leaders from the architecture, engineering, green building, and USGBC communities.
As the first Executive Director of USGBC Texas, Jonathan has played an important role in bringing together green building resources and expertise from across the state.
Rick, Chairman and CEO of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), has helped advance the WELL movement and its focus on health and wellness in the built environment.
Gail Vittori, Co-Director of the Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems and a longtime USGBC leader, has spent decades advancing sustainable design, policy, education, and research.
Bringing Rick, Gail, and Jonathan together at EarthX reflects a shared commitment across USGBC, IWBI, and EarthX to transform how we build, operate, and experience our built environment.

“97% of consumers want to live a more sustainable lifestyle.” So the real question is: how do we help them get there?
At the DFW Corporate Sustainability Leaders Network, we didn’t just quote that powerful insight from Lucie Blankenship of PepsiCo—we dug into what it means for our markets, our business models, and our shared future.
Alongside Lucie, we heard from Bhushan Joshi of Ericsson, who is championing how the ICT sector can unlock exponential climate action across industries. Together, their perspectives reminded us that sustainability isn’t a side project—it’s an innovation engine, a growth driver, and a responsibility.
This is the work of our time: turning intention into impact, and consumer desire into real, measurable change.

Yesterday marked an important milestone for our Dallas community.
The inaugural Dallas Corporate Sustainability Leadership Network (DCSLN) gathered leaders, practitioners, and community members around a shared goal: building an honest, ongoing dialogue about our environmental challenges and opportunities.
What stood out most was the openness in the room — a genuine willingness to listen, learn, and collaborate across sectors. This is the kind of foundation we need to drive real, lasting change.
This is just the beginning. #EarthX #Dallas #Sustainability #DCSLN
Reflecting on Senator Graham's passing, we remember his role as a key speaker at Earthx2019's Congress of Conferences. He provided important insights into the bipartisan discussions on the economic effects of climate change.
Alongside Democratic Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Susan Eisenhower, he took part in this vital dialogue. Senator Graham emphasized the scientific truth of climate change, acknowledging that greenhouse gas emissions play a role in global warming. His remarks highlighted the need to tackle environmental issues urgently and the significance of bipartisan collaboration in developing sustainable solutions.
We’re honored to introduce the speakers headlining the Dallas Corporate Sustainability Leaders Network: a lineup of practitioners, innovators, and changemakers who are turning climate ambition into real corporate action.

EarthX recently brought together civic leaders from across the region’s environmental community — including government, business, philanthropy, advocacy, conservation, NGOs, and other key sectors.
The gathering built on a conversation that began during this year’s North Texas Day workshop at Earthx2026: how can we better coordinate around shared regional environmental priorities and work together to make meaningful progress?
As North Texas continues to grow, this kind of collaboration is essential. Our region’s future depends on protecting the remaining natural habitats and ecosystems within our rapidly expanding urban landscape, preserving critical natural resources like water and clean air, and ensuring that growth strengthens — rather than diminishes — the quality of life for generations to come.
The goal of this gathering is to continue building momentum, elevating shared priorities, and giving voice to the many leaders, organizations, and advocates working every day to create a healthier, more resilient North Texas.
Stay connected with EarthX for future gatherings, updates, and opportunities to be part of this work.

EarthX Champions showcases the organizations whose sustainability efforts are paving the way to a cleaner, healthier future for our communities. Today, we highlight our local leaders in sustainability, the City of Dallas and Wells Fargo.
🌳 Earth Day, Every Day: The City of Dallas is expanding its green initiatives by supporting 39,000 electric vehicles (EVs) with new charging infrastructure. They've cut municipal greenhouse gas emissions by 11% and aim for net-zero emissions by 2050.
🌳 Wells Fargo: Building a sustainable future: Their 22-acre Las Colinas campus, near Dallas, is designed to be energy net-positive, producing more energy than it uses through solar power, smart irrigation, and dynamic glass technology.

ICYMI: We had an incredible week at @earthxorg 2026 in Dallas. 🌍⚡
Now in its 15th year, the Congress of Conferences brought together heads of state, investors, scientists, energy executives, and innovators from around the globe — all united by one question: what does the next chapter of energy leadership actually look like?
The answer, more and more, is being written right here in Texas.
From the explosive growth of data centers to the urgent race to power them cleanly, Texas is at the center of it all. Our grid operator projects energy demand could quadruple by 2032.
That's not a challenge. That's a calling. And Texas is answering it with a portfolio approach unlike anywhere else on the planet: wind, solar, battery storage, nuclear, natural gas, geothermal, and emerging technologies are all on the table.
Texas doesn't just consume energy. We produce it, innovate around it, and increasingly, we lead the conversation about its future.
Proud to be part of a state that doesn't wait for the future. We build it.
Huge thanks to Trammell Crow for his vision and dedication. Kudos to Sean Voigt for continuing to be an evangelist for Texas energy leadership in so many ways. And thank you to Barry Smitherman for founding the Texas Geothermal Energy Alliance (@txgeothermal) and putting Texas on the map for the incredible growth of this emerging industry.
