#GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS, led the #IndianArmy's International Day of Yoga celebrations at Tezpur, Assam. Nearly 15,000 participants, including troops and families of @GajrajCorps_IA, students, teachers, civil administration officials, CAPFs, tea plantation workers and distinguished achievers from the region, participated in the celebrations.
The celebrations were held simultaneously across the North East, reflecting a true Whole of Society approach towards health, wellness and national well-being.
#COAS, along with #PresidentAWWA, interacted with participants from all walks of life, appreciating their enthusiastic involvement and reaffirming the importance of collective action in building a healthier, stronger and more resilient Nation.
A key highlight of the event was the 'Jan Bhagidhari Se Pariyavaran Sanrakshan' initiative, during which #COAS led a plantation drive by planting an Arjun sapling, reinforcing the enduring bond between Yoga, environmental stewardship and sustainable living.

Enhanced living facilities, sanitation, digital learning aids, sports and recreational infrastructure will provide students from remote #Lepcha villages a safer and more enabling environment to learn and grow.

#OperationSadbhavana के तहत #भारतीय_सेना ने उत्तर #सिक्किम के लोअर जोंगू स्थित #तारयांग प्राइमरी स्कूल के नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र छात्रावास का उन्नयन किया।

Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri @SethSanjayMP attended the valedictory ceremony of the Indian Army’s Mega Eye Care Camp ‘Drishti 2026’ at Military Hospital Namkum, Ranchi. Organised under the aegis of @easterncomd by the Brahmastra Corps from 16-19 June 2026, the initiative provided advanced ophthalmic care to nearly 2,500 beneficiaries, including veterans, #VeerNaris, military families and residents of tribal areas, with 393 successful eye surgeries conducted.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Seth commended the specialist medical teams from Army Hospital (R&R), New Delhi, and all members of Team Drishti for their dedication, meticulous planning and spirit of service. He stated that such initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to public welfare and its enduring ethos of ‘Seva Paramo Dharma’, bringing quality healthcare to underserved communities while strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the people.
A Vision of Care, A Commitment to Service
The Closing Ceremony of the Mega #EyeCamp at #MilitaryHospital #Namkum, #Ranchi was held in the presence of Hon'ble #RakshaRajyaMantri Shri Sanjay Seth.
The camp provided specialist eye care services to over 2,500 Ex-Servicemen, #VeerNaris, dependents and citizens from remote areas. The Hon'ble #RRM felicitated the specialist medical teams from #Delhi, #Kolkata & #Ranchi and appreciated the successful conduct of this noble initiative.
#IndianArmy remains committed to the health, well-being and dignity of our veterans and their families—serving those who once served the Nation.

इस शिविर में 2,500 से अधिक पूर्व सैनिकों, वीर नारियों, आश्रितों तथा दूर-दराज़ क्षेत्रों के नागरिकों को विशेषज्ञ नेत्र चिकित्सा सेवाएँ, जाँच, परामर्श और उपचार प्रदान किया गया। माननीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री ने #Delhi, #Kolkata और #Ranchi से आए विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों की टीमों को सम्मानित किया तथा इस सराहनीय पहल के सफल आयोजन की प्रशंसा की।
