Strengthening the bilateral relationship between #IndianArmy and #AustralianArmy, a 30-member #AustralianArmy delegation participating in the #AustralianDefence Strategic Studies Course, led by Colonel Brandon Wood, visited Headquarters #EasternCommand, #Kolkata today.

The delegation interacted with Lt Gen Gambhir Singh, #COS, Headquarters #EasternCommand, and visited the #EasternCommandMuseum, gaining insights into the rich military heritage and glorious legacy of the #IndianArmy. The visit reinforced the strong and enduring defence ties between #India and #Australia.

#EasternCommand congratulates 40-year-old Lance Havildar Somvir Singh of #BrahmastraCorps for his outstanding performance in the extremely high-altitude and challenging terrain of #Spiti_Valley at 15,000 feet. He secured 5th position in the 77 km #KunzumLaChallenge with a timing of 8 hrs 58 mins. Just two days later, he secured 1st position in the 31–45 years age category at the #SuryaSpiti10K with an impressive timing of 42 mins 52 secs.

#EasternCommand is proud of his achievement and wishes him success for all future endeavours.

#पूर्वी_कमान #ब्रह्मास्त्र_कोर के 40 वर्षीय लांस हवलदार सोमवीर सिंह को #Spiti_Valley की 15,000 फीट की अत्यधिक ऊंचाई और चुनौतीपूर्ण क्षेत्र में शानदार प्रदर्शन के लिए बधाई। उन्होंने 77 किमी की #KunzumLaChallenge में 8 घंटे 58 मिनट के समय के साथ 5वां स्थान हासिल किया। सिर्फ दो दिन बाद, उन्होंने #SuryaSpiti10K में 31–45 वर्ष आयु वर्ग में 42 मिनट 52 सेकंड के शानदार समय के साथ प्रथम स्थान हासिल किया।

Amid heavy rains and landslides, #BRO Karmayogis of 107 RCC are strengthening road connectivity in #NorthSikkim. Through road construction, precast drains and restoring the #PhiChuKhola Bailey Bridge in just five days, they have kept vital routes open. Going beyond duty, they rescued a local who had fallen nearly 100 feet down a steep slope, showing courage and compassion.

भारी बारिश और ��ूस्खलन के बीच #BRO के 107 RCC के कर्मयोगियों ने #उत्तर_सिक्किम में सड़क निर्माण, प्रीकास्ट नालियों और #फी_चु_खोला बेली ब्रिज को मात्र 5 दिनों में पुनः चालू कर महत्वपूर्ण मार्ग खुले रखे। कर्तव्य से आगे बढ़कर करीब 100 फीट गहरी ढलान से एक स्थानीय व्यक्ति को सुरक्षित बचाकर उन्होंने साहस और मानवीय संवेदना की मिसाल पेश की।

यह क्षमता कठिन और चुनौतीपूर्ण इलाकों में सैनिकों और हथियारों को तेजी से ऑपरेशनल क्षेत्रों तक पहुंचाने में मदद करती है, जिससे पहुंच, गतिशीलता और ऑपरेशनल तैयारी और मजबूत होती है।

#PassingOutParade at Officers Training Academy, #OTA, #Chennai

Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, #CNS reviewed the Passing Out Parade, #POP of SSC-122 & SSC (W)-36 at #OTA, #Chennai on 05 September 26. The #POP showcased immaculate drill, smart turnout, high standards of training & exceptional coordination, marking the culmination of a rigorous military training journey.

On this momentous occasion, 342 Officer Cadets, including 29 Women Cadets, were commissioned into the #IndianArmy, stepping forward to serve the nation as leaders of character and competence. In addition, 17 Officer Cadets, including 10 Women Cadets, from Friendly Foreign Countries #FFC successfully completed their training, further strengthening the enduring bonds of camaraderie and #DefenceCooperation.

The #CNS congratulated the passing out Officer Cadets and their proud parents, highlighting the singular honour of serving in the Armed Forces. He exhorted the newly commissioned officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, courage and commitment in their service to the nation.
