Notice on Echo Protocol Wind-Down

Dear Echo Users,

After nearly two years of building and operating Echo, we have made the difficult decision to wind down the protocol and conclude its operations.

Over the past two years, we have been grateful for the trust, participation, and support of our community, partners, and users who have helped shape Echo along the way.

The wind-down will therefore proceed according to the following arrangements.

1. Changes Already in Effect

- Lending to stop accepting new deposits and new borrows, and related interest accrual has been stopped.
- Strategy to stop accepting new deposits.
- LSD to stop accepting new staking.
- Repayment, withdrawal, and necessary liquidation for assets will remain available.

2. What Users Can Do Now

From the date of this announcement, users are encouraged to take the following actions:

Lending users: repay outstanding debt, release collateral, and withdraw available assets.
Strategy users: initiate exits as soon as possible and complete claims when eligible.
LSD users: continue to use the existing unstake and claim flow.
Users holding aBTC who wish to redeem on B² Network: continue using the Aptos-to-B² Bridge.
Borrower deadline: All outstanding borrowers are required to repay their loans by November 14 2026. Any outstanding loan that has not been repaid by this date may be subject to liquidation of the associated collateral, with the proceeds used to repay outstanding obligations to lenders accordingly.

Please note that LSD and Strategy depend on the timing of each staking/unstaking request. Actual claim availability is determined by these factors.

After November 14 2026, Echo will cease operations. The following services will remain available:

Aptos-to-B² Bridge redemption.

3. Key Timelines

19 Oct 2026, 00:00 UTC — Lending, LSD, and Strategy withdrawal and repayment process begin..
19 Nov 2026, 23:59 UTC — Final deadline for borrower repayments and withdrawal and unstaking. Unpaid loans will be subjected to collateral liquidation.
After 19 Nov 2026, 23:59 UTC — Remaining positions proceed to liquidation and/or settlement as applicable.

Collateral Liquidation and Distribution — Dates and final completion time TBC. Outstanding collateral will be liquidated after the borrower repayment deadline, with proceeds distributed toward repayment of outstanding lender obligations as applicable.

Please ignore any request to transfer funds or sign privately to any wallet address. Further updates will be published through Echo’s official channels. If you encounter any issues or have questions regarding the Echo Protocol wind-down, please join our official Discord server and open a support ticket for assistance from the team (https://t.co/w7yZKvXw5s).

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported Echo over the past two years. While this chapter is coming to an end, our responsibility to users does not end with the closure of the protocol. We remain committed to completing the wind-down carefully, transparently, and as responsibly as possible.

Notice for Users Affected by eBTC exploit on Curvance

Dear users and community members,

Regarding the recent exploit related to eBTC on Curvance, the team has conducted a preliminary review of the affected addresses and related asset information based on on-chain data. To move forward with the follow-up process, we hope to get in touch with users who may have been affected, further verify relevant information, and maintain communication regarding subsequent arrangements.

As this incident involves other platforms, protocols, and relevant parties, the follow-up plan will need to be discussed and coordinated with affected users, relevant platforms, and protocol teams based on a full verification of the facts. The team will continue to act with caution and transparency, and will make every effort to facilitate a proper resolution.

Users who believe they have been affected by this incident are requested to submit a ticket in the official ECHO Discord (https://t.co/w7yZKvXw5s) and provide the relevant information. The registration period will remain open for two weeks from the date of this announcement.

Suggested information to provide in the Ticket:

* Affected wallet address
* Affected assets and amounts
* Optional additional information, such as relevant transaction hashes, screenshots, etc.

After completing the verification process, the team will continue communicating with affected users and relevant platforms/protocols regarding follow-up handling, and will share further updates through official channels.

Please make sure to rely only on ECHO’s official announcements and official channels. Beware of unofficial contacts, impersonators, fake support accounts, and secondary scams. The team will never ask for your private keys, seed phrases, or request that you transfer assets to any address.

Thank you for your understanding, trust, and cooperation.

Echo’s Aptos services are now fully restored, including Lending, Strategy, Liquidity Staking, Vault, and other related protocols.

We have completed security audits of all contracts deployed on Aptos, including admin permissions, and found no potential contract-related risks.

[Echo Protocol @EchoProtocol_]

• We are performing a comprehensive review of the affected Monad deployment and related bridge infrastructure, including admin key exposure, contract permissions, cross-chain controls, minting controls, and operational security procedures. We are also coordinating with ecosystem partners and external security reviewers to confirm the scope of the incident and assess further mitigation steps.

We understand the concern surrounding this incident and want to be transparent about what we know at this stage. We will continue sharing updates as the investigation progresses.

[Echo Protocol @EchoProtocol_]

Earlier today, Echo Protocol identified unauthorized activity involving eBTC on Monad that resulted in unauthorized minting and associated fund loss.

Our investigation indicates the issue originated from a compromised admin key affecting the Monad deployment. Based on current findings, approximately $816K was impacted on Monad. The Monad network itself was not impacted and continues to operate normally.

Since detecting the incident, we have been actively investigating potential cross-chain exposure, coordinating with ecosystem partners, and implementing additional precautionary measures. We have successfully regained control of our admin keys and burnt the remaining 955 eBTC that was in the attacker’s possession.

[Echo Protocol @EchoProtocol_]

• We are also in the process of upgrading the EVM-series bridge deployments to further strengthen cross-chain controls and reduce operational risk.

• Users should not interact with any unofficial links, claim pages, refund forms, or recovery portals. Echo will never request seed phrases, private keys, or direct wallet transfers. All official updates will be communicated only through Echo’s verified channels.

[Echo Protocol @EchoProtocol_]

We are currently investigating a security incident impacting the Echo bridge on Monad. All cross-chain transactions remain suspended while the investigation is underway.

We will continue to provide timely updates through our official channels as more information becomes available.

As Elon Musk put it, “some of them have merit, but most of them are scams.”

That is exactly why Bitcoin matters more.

And beyond Bitcoin itself, the Bitcoin ecosystem is where real utility and real long-term value continue to be built.

[Echo Protocol @EchoProtocol_]

Security is a shared challenge across every DeFi platform.

We sincerely hope Aave, as a leading protocol in the lending space, can navigate through this difficult moment safely.

Echo will also continue doing its part — contributing to the industry through our own technology and long-term commitment to safer infrastructure.

Wishing strength to the Aave team and community.

Aave is my life's work and we're working nonstop to find the best possible outcome for users.

I’m personally contributing 5000 ETH to DeFi United as we continue working together with partners on formalizing more commitments. I’m working to see this resolved and market conditions normalized as soon as possible.

Performance-driven tokenomics is the right signal.

When incentives become more aligned with real usage, the ecosystem gets stronger for builders and users.

[Aptos @Aptos]

Aptos is moving to performance-driven tokenomics.

2.1B hard supply cap. Staking rewards halved. Gas fees 10x'd—all burned. @DecibelTrade projected to burn 32M+ APT/year. 210M APT to be permanently locked.

The last cycle proved it:

Markets don’t just price assets.
They price narratives, ecosystems, and utility.

That’s why Bitcoin dominance dropped from around 70% to near 40% during the 2021 bull market, as attention and liquidity spread across the wider crypto space.

For BTC, holding is only the start.
Utility is where the next layer of value gets built. ⚡️

Echo Protocol is building the next wave of ecosystem features.

As we shape what comes next, we’d love to hear from the community:
