U.S. Central Command said it has launched what it describes as “self-defense strikes” on Iran in response to the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter on Monday.
Military officials tell CBS News the strikes are ongoing and that the operation is larger than previous retaliatory strikes carried out during the ceasefire that began in April, @ellee_watson reports.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford is in Washington, D.C., this week meeting with lawmakers and business leaders as the U.S., Canada and Mexico work toward a renewed North American trade agreement ahead of a July 1 deadline.
