The polling from @Ipsos_in_the_UK is in. The interviews with 100 government officials are done. The next State of the State report from @DeloitteUK and @restate_thinks launches next month, offering a view of the UK public sector from the people who use it and the people who run it.
In the meantime, here's a quote from one of our interviews.

For the past 14 years, @DeloitteUK and @restate_thinks have published an annual report on government: The State of the State. It blends a survey of the public alongside interviews with senior officials.
Last year's edition commentated on the raft of plans, strategies and roadmaps that government had produced after a year in office. Here's a quote from a civil servant included in the 2025 report. As she said, the proof of the pudding is in the implementation.
Our 2026 edition, out next month, will pick up from where this left off and explore government's quest for delivery.
Useful to see emerging thinking on civil service reform from @reformparty_uk via @danny__kruger. What's encouraging here is the empathy with high-performing officials. Talking about making the most of the best civil servants makes a refreshing change in these debates https://t.co/hKUobL4NkX
Plenty of policy takeaways in the latest report on lifelong learning from @OECD@OECDEduSkills. Includes shoutouts for France's personal training accounts, Estonia's roll-out of AI tools for students and teachers, and China's University for Older Adults. Well worth a read. https://t.co/pNGU3IlZpY
