Quick prayer request: Tomorrow I have THREE medical appointments. It’s a party. 😬

TL;DR — Some progress, some worsening, so we’re escalating some medical engagement.

For my praying friends, I’m now about two months out from spinal surgery.

I’m still on a walker, but I’m getting close to being able to move to a cane more permanently, so mobility is actually moving in the right direction—albeit more slowly than expected. Maybe a few more weeks until the cane, though I am trying short stints with the cane already.

I should also add that I’m in physical therapy and am super pleased with the team at Coury & Buehler Physical Therapy. Yesterday’s appointment was really encouraging, and I have another PT appointment tomorrow. Come to think of it, I wasn’t counting that among my three medical appointments. So apparently tomorrow’s party actually has FOUR stops. 😂

However, there are some painful neurological issues that are not resolving and, in some ways, seem to be getting worse. The pain is ever-present, but goes up and down, and there are other symptoms we’re trying to understand and address. Neurological stuff is crazy. (I could tell you stories of some bizarre symptoms.)

Anyway, tomorrow is really the beginning of the next round of trying to figure all of this out. I also have appointments with three more doctors in the coming weeks. Apparently, we’re taking Proverbs 15:22 very seriously: “With many advisers they succeed.”

So, I’d appreciate your prayers as I spend half the day tomorrow in medical world—for wisdom for the doctors, some answers about what is happening, an effective plan for addressing it, and ultimately for healing.
