[Fix The Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act @stopthecwsbill]

The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 introduces powers that may allow the State to override parental decisions about a child’s education, even where the education being provided is accepted as suitable.

We seek to bring a legal challenge to test whether these provisions are compatible with the Human Rights Act 1998, particularly the right to family life and protection from discrimination.

Call to Action

We are raising funds to bring a judicial review to test the lawfulness of these powers.

I don’t. I’m not worried about maths, or reading, or writing, or science, or anything else on the list of academic subjects we’re supposed to obsess over. That’s not to say I don’t value those things.

School's out for summer - but for us home education doesn’t stop. When curiosity sparks, we follow it. We don’t wait for “lesson hours” — we research, explore, and discover whenever inspiration strikes. Our home education is not confined to a timetable, it’s woven into our days.

But I say you are. Do you have access to a library? If so you also have access to the Internet. Put an undetermined amount of effort (depends on the child) in and you will successfully home ed.
