I am calling upon all our gallant women and youths across Zambia to stand up and reject the UPND’s dishonest schemes of amending the Republican Constitution with the intent of politically advantaging the sitting President to remain in power in 2026.

As you wake up and go about this day, take a moment and acknowledge our Lord Jesus and let Him carry your burdens.
May this be another successful and easy day to you.
I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
Psalm 3:5
It is a wonderful thing to realise that God is the one who sustains our lives and that His ear listens when we cry out to Him.
I carry with me great memories of the time I spent at State House; memories that we share with many who came as our guests.
I'm thankful to the dedicated workers who made our stay memorable.
My prayer is that the next residents will also create their wonderful memories.
For the past 7 years, StateHouse was a residence for me and my family but I never took it for granted that I would not take my last stroll in these grounds one day; and yesterday, I did. But I did it with a sense of honour that I did my part, just like the 5 presidents before me.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1Thes 5:16-18
I'm thankful to God for the life he gave me and His grace to preside over the affairs of #Zambia.
I'm also thankful for the new chapter of my life.
My heart is filled with a deep sense of gratitude to the Zambian people who entrusted us with the huge and honourable responsibility to administer the affairs of this country. I took this as a God-given mandate and He be the best and fairest judge.
My fellow citizens,I thank you
Today the President-elect Mr Hakainde Hichilema has been sworn in as our seventh Republican President.
This is a momentous occasion for our country, and we all must be proud for letting the torch of our democracy to shine for the world to see.
Today I look back at our 10 years in office with satisfaction. Yes, there are things we could have done better, but I’m happy that in many aspects, we leave behind a better country.
