Breaking: New recruits spotted in the NW Division parking lot

After weeks of dedicated nest duty, Mama Goose has officially hatched three tiny partners and is now leading them on their first patrol around the NW grounds.

Meet Maverick Jr., Rooster, and Hangman, all together and never far from Mom as they waddle their way around the area.

They are getting ready to make their way to a nearby lake, but for now they are sticking close, staying in formation, and learning the ropes.

On Canadian Armed Forces Day, we honour Edmonton Police officers who have served in Canada’s military, defending the values and freedoms we hold dear.

Officers like Constable William Nixon and Constable Alex Decoteau, who fought in the First World War. Or Sergeant Val Vallevand who was only 17 when he joined the Canadian Army during the Second World War. Or the countless members who have served over the decades, at home and abroad.

We are proud of them and owe them a debt of gratitude. After serving their country, they chose to continue that commitment as members of the EPS.

Past and present, we salute them.

Police continue to search for missing man, seek area surveillance video: The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) continues to search for a missing 31-year-old man.

Caleb Peretic, 31, was last seen on video on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m. walking in Tanager Close. He was last seen wearing the clothing pictured below.

Investigators are asking anyone with surveillance cameras in the west Edmonton neighbourhoods of Starling, Trumpeter, Winterburn Road, the Glendale golf course and the area surrounding Big Lake to check their footage between the hours of 6:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. for any evidence of someone matching Caleb’s description. Police are also asking people who live in these areas to share this post to their community pages.

Caleb is 5’9” tall with light brown hair, and hazel eyes. He has a clock tattoo on his right forearm and a flame tattoo on his right tricep.

Caleb’s disappearance is considered out of character, and family and police have concerns for his well-being. Anyone who sees evidence of Caleb on their security footage or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
