Over the last 12 years, schools having electricity facilities increased from 56.8% in 2013–14 to 95.0% in 2025–26.

This progress reflects the continued strengthening of essential school infrastructure to support modern and well-equipped school environment.

Over the past 12 years, the Gender Parity Index (GPI) has improved at the secondary and higher secondary levels—from 0.99 to 1.0 and from 0.98 to 1.1, respectively (2013–14 to 2025–26).

A GPI of 1.1 at the higher secondary level indicates higher enrolment of girls than boys, reflecting improved retention, transition and participation of girls in education.

A significant step towards education for all.
