Friends, this baby is taking shape in the scenic magical #Kapchorwa

The Road to AFCON 2027
A photo showing the artistic impression of how Mandela National Stadium will look after its ongoing remodeling has finally been released.
The image provides a glimpse of the stadium's exterior design once the upgrade works are completed.
The scope of works in this phase includes expanding the seating capacity to approximately 45,000 spectators, roofing the entire stadium, constructing modern VVIP lounges, upgrading the media tribune, and several other improvements aimed at bringing the facility closer to international standards.
The project is being undertaken by the UPDF Engineering Brigade as part of Uganda's preparations to co-host AFCON 2027.
Ugandaβs Refugee Athletes Set for Dakar 2026!
History has been made as the first-ever Refugee Olympic Team (EOR) for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 was unveiled during the 146th IOC Session by Chef de Mission Yiech Pur Biel.
We are especially proud to celebrate two athletes based in Uganda who will represent the Refugee Olympic Team on the global stage:
Florence Masembe β Athletics (Womenβs 200m)
Rachid Rochene β Athletics (Menβs 200m)
Their selection is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of sport. From refugee communities in Uganda to the worldβs biggest youth sporting stage, Florence and Rachid carry the hopes and aspirations of millions of displaced young people around the world.
π¬ βOn behalf of the Government of Uganda, I congratulate you (Teen Cranes) for winning this very important competition. Football development in this country is on the right trajectory and seeing these young players achieve success at this stage of their careers is a clear indication that the future is bright.β -Hon. Peter Ogwang, Minister of State for Education and Sports, Sports

It's me, Janet Museveni. It is a confirmation that the God I talk about is a living God. He is not a myth, He lives!
I must therefore thank Uganda, beginning with Mzee, who has prayed with the whole nation. I praise God for leading us to know Him. Thank you all for coming out publicly to pray for me.
Thank you for all those continuous prayers and also for the kind birthday wishes. Thank you for letting me know just how much I am loved.

Yesterday, our workshops, classrooms, and labs turned into examination centres as our learners sat for their @UVTABOfficial assessments.
With over 80% of the candidates being young women, learners from Automotive Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, ICT, and Fashion & Design took an important step toward their future careers.
Weβre proud of every learner who showed up, prepared, and gave it their best. Skills have the power to transform lives, and yesterday was a testament to that.
