EGA welcomes new members to the Challenger Programme, which we launched in 2023 in partnership with Aurora 50 and under the patronage of the Ministry of Human Resources to bring industrial companies together to make faster progress on increasing the role of women in industry. Schneider Electric, RAK Ceramics, Veolia, Delta Plus, and Knauf Group join existing members ADNOC, Ducab, Emirates Steel Arkan, ENEC, Strata, TAQA, and TechnipFMC.

EGA's Al Taweelah recycling plant turns waste into new aluminium that makes modern life possible around the world. By 2040, recycled aluminium is expected to meet around half of all global aluminium demand.

EGA has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Ports Group to enhance operational flexibility and efficiency at EGA’s dedicated berth at Khalifa Port. The upgrades will enable the berth to accommodate larger Newcastlemax vessels, capable of carrying 15–20 per cent more cargo, and support the handling of approximately 8 million tonnes of bulk cargo annually.

وقعت شركة الإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم اتفاقية تعاون استراتيجية مع مجموعة موانئ أبوظبي لتعزيز المرونة والكفاءة التشغيلية للرصيف المخصص للشركة في ميناء خليفة. وسيمكن هذه المشروع من استقبال سفن "نيوكاسل ماكس" الأكبر حجماً، والقادرة على حمل شحنات أكبر بنسبة تتراوح بين 15 إلى20%، كما ستدعم مناولة نحو 8 ملايين طن من البضائع السائبة سنوياً.

Earlier this week EGA’s new Al Taweelah recycling plant was inaugurated, the largest aluminium recycling facility in the UAE. The inauguration was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), EGA’s Chairman Homaid Al Shimmari, EGA’s Vice Chairman His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer, and members of EGA’s Board and senior management team.

احتفلت شركة الإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم بافتتاح أكبر مصنع لإعادة تدوير الألمنيوم في الإمارات خلال هذا الأسبوع. وحضر الافتتاح معالي الدكتورة آمنة بنت عبدالله الضحاك الشامسي، وزيرة التغير المناخي والبيئة، وسعادة الدكتورة شيخة سالم الظاهري، الأمين العام لهيئة البيئة – أبوظبي، و حميد الشمري، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة الإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم، ومعالي سعيد محمد الطاير، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة، إلى جانب أعضاء مجلس إدارة الشركة وفريق الإدارة العليا.

EGA has inaugurated Al Taweelah recycling plant, the largest aluminium recycling facility in the UAE. Al Taweelah recycling plant has a production capacity of 185,000 tonnes per year of low-carbon, high-quality 'premium aluminium' billets and T-bars, marketed by EGA under the product name RevivAL.

احتفلت شركة الإمارات العالمية للألمنيوم بتدشين مصنع إعادة تدوير الألمنيوم في الطويلة، الأكبر من نوعه في الإمارات. تبلغ القدرة الإنتاجية للمصنع 185 ألف طن سنوياً وينتج سبائك وأسطوانات ألمنيوم عالية الجودة ومنخفضة الكربون، والتي تسوقها الشركة تحت العلامة التجارية ألمنيوم "ريفايفال" .

This week, we celebrated the winners of our annual EGA Aluminium Design and Innovation Challenge, which engages school students from grades 9 to 12 to creatively apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills to address real-life challenges using aluminium. The challenge forms part of EGA’s Engineer the Future programme, our CSR initiative aimed at encouraging students’ interest in STEM fields and supporting the development of the UAE’s future industrial and innovation workforce.
