Nearly Half of Ireland's Electricity Came From Renewables in February

This was a strong increase from 39% in January. Wind energy contributed 41% to February's overall fuel mix. Gas generation was at 37% and 14% via interconnection.

📢40% of electricity was generated from renewables in January. Wind contributed most of the renewables generated, amounting to 33% of all the electricity. Total generation from wind energy was 1119 GWh, gas was at  44% of all electricity and 16% came via interconnection⚡
