Streams should be compared to radio plays instead of actual listens and buys from the listener. There's no direct sale involved in a stream. It's literally a made up metric.
This the real convo we all need to have regarding the music industry.
Streams are not even a direct sale.
So ask yaself: Why are they being counted as album streams?
Because labels+ Spotify decided that metric. Lol the grift is hella obvious.
@Scottmicha48098 If you didn’t buy it. Its not Sale.
Period.
The metric of sales in streaming is made up by big tech.
You talking to me like I dont know how streams work.
Stfu with the chat gpt analytics.
Aye fuck it. I was being a gentleman about it for too long.
Im gatekeeping now
Bcuz i actually love this culture.
Its a lot of Put offs that need to get stamped.

Trevor Noah is 100% correct they are paying for fake trends now
Drake Iceman currently has a campaign that’ll pay u if u get 100k views on X, TikTok or IG
This not including the Kalshi, Stake, Polymarket etc … as well as what they paying big media pages for fake hype
@jaybucks107 Lol the difference between this and actual business is that it's not being transparent to the customer that it's advertising. That's a simplified way of explaining it, + it's a huge gray area too, but there's laws and regulations that make this illegal. (or used to lol smh)
