Water scarcity is here, and Texas must act. I’ve filed SB 7 & SJR 66 to expand supply, strengthen infrastructure, and protect our future. This is our moment—let’s get it done. #txlege#water
Oregon is one step closer to passing a measure on the ballot that could effectively ban hunting, fishing, and raising livestock for food. This is the kind of radical agenda national Democrats and politicians like James Talarico want to bring to Texas.
Texans believe in private property rights, agriculture, and protecting our outdoor heritage — not letting fringe activists criminalize our way of life. #txlege
ICYMI: @GregAbbott_TX says @bofrench would “wreck” Texas oil and gas if elected to the Railroad Commission.
Abbott on Tuesday slammed GOP Railroad Commission candidate Bo French, saying he “doesn’t know anything about oil and gas.” He cast the race for the often-overlooked statewide office as existential for the state economy, especially amid soaring gas prices during the ongoing war with Iran. The commission oversees the oil and gas industry.
“Bo French’s agenda would wreck the miracle that we have in producing more oil and gas than ever before — by the way, more oil and gas than what Iran produces,” Abbott said.
At a campaign stop, Abbott told a crowd of Republicans, “We need @JimWright4Texas to be reelected to continue to lead that way.”
And on Monday, the DEA formally designated HHC as a Schedule I controlled substance. The law is now abundantly clear: these dangerous THC analogue products are illegal and should be immediately removed from retail shelves. (3 of 3) #txlege https://t.co/2wooYdih0k
THREAD: Texas was ahead of the curve on THC.
Last week, the Texas Supreme Court upheld the state’s authority to classify delta-8/10 and other THC analogues as Schedule I controlled substances under Texas law. (1 of 3) #txlege https://t.co/YyVjaHFgXM
This week, the Trump Administration’s Office of National Drug Control Policy reaffirmed that position federally, clarifying that delta-8/10 and other THC analogues are Schedule I controlled substances under federal law as well. (2 of 3) #txlege https://t.co/cyWoRpilEe
Elisabeth and I are heartbroken to learn of the unexpected passing of Chad Hasty.
Texas has lost a powerful voice for conservative truth, integrity, and common sense. Chad wasn’t just a broadcaster, he was one of the very best to ever cover the people, policy, and politics shaping the Texas Legislature and our state. He asked the right questions, gave fair room for debate, and, most importantly, he made sure Texans stayed informed.
I’m especially grateful for the role Chad played in my own journey to and through the Texas House. Time and again, he offered me a seat at his microphone and the opportunity to speak directly to the people I serve. He believed in giving leaders a platform — and holding them accountable — and he did both with professionalism, respect, and a healthy dose of humor.
West Texas feels a lot quieter today with the loss of his voice.
We are deeply saddened and our prayers are with his family, his listeners, and all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed.
He kept leaders accountable and conversations grounded in reality, and our region is better for it. Jacklyn and I are praying for his family—he will be deeply missed. (2 of 2)
Chad Hasty was a true West Texas voice, an institution and widely respected talk radio host covering local, state, and federal politics who understood our people and wasn’t afraid to speak plainly. (1 of 2) #txlege
Thank you Senator Perry! Such an honor to earn your endorsement. You are a top fighter for conservatives and rural Texans. The Senate and state are better off with your leadership.
“I’m proud to endorse Mayes Middleton for Attorney General. We must have Christian servants in office who will lead and take on the left. Rural Texas is important to me and I trust Mayes shares ours values.” - Charles Perry @electcharles

After President Trump signed the government funding resolution, the federal government is now reopened.
As part of the resolution, consumable, highly intoxicating hemp-derived THC is essentially banned in America. Farmers are protected to produce industrial products. CBD and CBG are still legal.
However, Delta-8, Delta-10, and candies, snacks, and gummies with high dosages of intoxicating THC are all banned. Hemp-derived Delta-9 will only be allowed to be sold in very low, non-intoxicating dosages.

Thank you @CADCA and @learnaboutsam for the support. THCA flower sold in Texas is federally illegal marijuana — yet it’s everywhere. 40+ states have addressed this loophole. It’s time @MillerforTexas & @TexasDeptofAg comply with USDA rules & close illicit hemp loopholes. #txlege
Comm. @MillerforTexas we fully support @CADCA letter to align Texas Hemp rules with federal law. It is time for Texas to join the 40+ other states that have addressed the illicit loophole that is THCA flower (i.e. marijuana) @electcharles@DanPatrick
Thank you for your efforts to protect Texas communities

New World Screwworm has been detected in Nuevo León, Mexico. While it has not been found in Texas, the TDA is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to keep our members updated. Protecting Texas whitetail and wildlife health is our top priority.
Comm. @MillerForTexas, I’m simply asking you to follow the USDA’s definition of legal “hemp,” updated by President Trump in 2021. You don’t need a green light from #txlege—84% of the Senate and 74% of the House already voted to ban THC consumables. https://t.co/9sQYj8EnJ1
Texas rules leave loopholes letting marijuana pose as hemp. I’ve asked state agencies to align with federal THC standards: https://t.co/JsoPPcxc59 #TxLege
This article explains how our state is defining the national debate — and it underscores how SB 2024, my bill banning the sale and marketing of vape products containing THC, is at the center of the fight. https://t.co/VrYskBtOhV (7 of 7)
THREAD: Reports suggest the Governor may issue an executive order to age-gate THC products. Texans need to understand that marijuana has never been legalized in our state. (1 of 7)
So goes Texas, so goes America. This debate isn’t over, and I will not stop fighting until we secure real protections for our communities and prevent Texas from repeating the mistakes of other states. (6 of 7)
