I first saw Eliza Scanlen in Little Women. then I watched The Devil All The Time and I only recognized her after looking at the cast list. I then watched Sharp Objects cause she was in it and she is such a chameleon OMG. Like she embodies each role so well 1/

I mean she’s improving greatness, but there’s a maturity in the starling girl that offers a refreshing take on a common and sometimes mishandled story that really solidified her as one of the best working today!! 4/5

THE STARLING GIRL IS OUT MAY 12 and it is so good !!! The film is shot so beautifully and (w/out spoilers) the way it handles the relationship and Jem’s character is so perfect which is the script but also Eliza’s acting. 1/?

Also Laurel Parmet’s writing and directing is unbelievable. The way it’s so grounded makes it one of the best interpretations of these kinds of religious communities I’ve ever seen.
