Obviously Mattingly took over in a hole and can’t hold guys back while getting us out the hole and into the playoffs, but I hope everyone is still healthy by then.

Meaning that a ball that does cross the path of the strike zone as defined in the rules could be challenged and ruled a ball. Idk if that’s what happened here but how was he incorrect?
