Conservatives have been talking about axing fuel taxes long before I was elected to the House of Commons.

But how many times have we heard the Prime Minister claim that affordability in Canada is the best it has been in a decade?

If that's the case, why did the Liberal government put forward Bill C-38?

It's because affordability is getting worse, and Canadians are feeling it.

I welcome the Liberal government taking more ideas from Conservatives so that we can actually make Canada more affordable.

For 20 years, modern day treaty First Nations have documented where the federal government has fallen short on collaboration and cooperation.

Now, the Liberal government is offering another department to repeat the same recommendations, with no clear accountability.

This is still hard to believe this is in Canada. I spent a lot of time trying to understand racism in all it’s forms around the world and I thought WW2 events taught us how to be tolerant, at least in Canada. I hope this doesn’t end in tragedy

The new Pro-resource economy attitude is bitter sweet. On one hand it’s nice that what i’ve said for 20 years is now politically correct & on the other hand it’s sad it took 20 years for this “new” attitude to be politically correct

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the blessing of the new Hagwil’ook Contracting Concrete Plant in the Nisga’a Village of Laxgalts’ap.

What they have accomplished is impressive. Bringing private sector investment and enterprise into a northern community is no easy task. I know firsthand how difficult it can be as I tried to accomplish something similar when I was Chief but failed.

This project shows that Laxgalts’ap is open for business, investment, and partnerships that can create real opportunities for the community and the north.

I envy what they have been able to accomplish, and I congratulate everyone involved in making this project a reality.

BVX in Smithers last weekend was a blast!

I am always impressed by how welcoming and friendly the Smithers community is. Thank you to all the volunteers who put in the time and effort to make this event possible every year.

It was also great to see so many people stop by my booth to say hello, share their concerns, and talk about the issues that matter to them.

A huge turnout at the Bulkley Valley Fall Fair Parade in Smithers last night!

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the parade possible, and a special shoutout to Vihar Construction for letting us use their truck!

But why did it take the Liberals so long to come to this conclusion when they could have supported our Conservative motion to scrap the EV mandate last year? It was great to see such a fantastic turnout for the parade and so many people out celebrating together.

If you're interested in having your artwork or photography featured in our calendar, please email my office to express your interest. Submissions should be provided in PNG or JPEG format and can be either portrait or landscape, although portrait orientation works best for the calendar's layout.

The submission deadline is September 30, 2026.

I look forward to sharing the talent and beauty of Skeena—Bulkley Valley through next year's calendar.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to tour the Cedar LNG project in Kitimat alongside my Conservative colleagues @TamaraJansenMP and @billymorinECN.

It was great to see the progress being made on Canada's first Indigenous majority-owned LNG project. This is a long-time vision that is finally coming to life. Cedar LNG is creating jobs, strengthening our economy, and demonstrating how responsible resource development and Indigenous leadership can go hand in hand.

Thank you to the Cedar LNG team for the tour and for the work you're doing to help build a stronger future for Northern BC and Canada.

China is using loopholes to get tires containing single-use plastics into the Canadian market.

Canadians are doing their part by recycling their tires, but those efforts are undermined when products that don't meet the same standards continue to enter our country and ultimately end up in our landfills.

Will the federal and provincial governments step up and close these loopholes?
