NEW: Jeffrey Epstein called her “my great defender.”

Emails and text messages show Goldman Sachs’ top attorney Kathy Ruemmler — previously Obama’s WH counsel — disparaged reporting on Epstein’s abuse as “rehashed crap,” in 2018 and helped craft a 2019 publication relations comment denying he got a sweetheart deal and arguing he was pursued usually aggressively in 2008.

He told an associate he could rely on Ruemmler as a character witness, describing her as an “arch feminist,” who was his “great defender,” and could show “the other side of Jeffrey.”

His calendars show more than 50 planned meetings with Ruemmler — lunches, dinners, apartment hunting— plus personal entries like facials and a “Glam Squad” appointment for her, presenting a relationship far more intertwined than previously known.

The Epstein estate is also fighting to keep hundreds of additional emails with Ruemmler private, arguing they’re protected by attorney–client privilege — suggesting even deeper involvement than what’s already public about her involvement in his legal affairs.

1) See email below: My CNN interview was booked BEFORE Charlie died and it was related to my book launch. We kept the interview, which took place about 20 days AFTER he had passed, and we told them in writing, multiple times that I wanted NO QUESTIONS ABOUT CHARLIE. Despite this, CNN was CNN and violated our request and asked about him once cameras were rolling.
2) You awarded an interview to WSJ about Charlie’s death, 4 days after he was gone and chose to pose outside of his public memorial site in high boots. We are not the same.
3) “Davidic” was Charlie’s word, not mine.
