After 5 years, 2 months & 1 week of being a student midwife, tonight I finally got signed off as fit to join the register! ๐ 16 placements, 2831.75 hours worked, 42 babies caught, 7 essays, 1 exam, two maternity leaves, I canโt believe I finally qualified! ๐
Today we trialled a @Iskushealth drape for an elective caesarean section. The baby is passed through an aperture in the drape for immediate skin to skin contact with the mother. Excellent feedback received by patients @EliMedd@UHP_NHS@PtExpUHP @helen_harling1 @mariannerowntr1
.@Marianfknight closes the day with thanks to all and a reminder of the lay summary - Key messages for women and families as well as health professionals
