Australia has officially hit 500,000 home battery installations.
It’s a major milestone for Australia’s energy transition, with the Cheaper Home Batteries Program accelerating battery uptake nationwide.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Energy Minister Chris Bowen marked the milestone at RKS Energy Solutions in Castle Hill. Fox ESS brand ambassador Ian Thorpe also joined the celebrations.
Australia has now installed 14 GWh of household battery storage, with around 2,000 batteries installed every working day.
For @Fox_ESS_ it’s another sign that home batteries are quickly becoming a mainstream part of Australia’s energy future.
And with the government now turning its attention towards the commercial and industrial “missing middle”, the battery boom may only be getting started.

25 solar installations. Two countries. Thousands of children set to benefit.
Australian charity Little Sunshine Pledge is bringing clean, reliable energy to children’s centres across Cambodia and Vietnam throughout 2026.
The latest 13.2kW installation at Sunrise Cambodia is expected to reduce daytime electricity costs by 30 to 35 per cent. Those savings can instead support food, education, healthcare, and better living conditions for the 377 children it supports.
Backed by GoodWe, Clenergy, and Yingli Solar, the 25-site program shows what can happen when the renewable energy industry comes together for something bigger.
Because solar can do much more than reduce electricity bills. It can help create brighter futures.

Behind every home battery is a remarkable story of innovation.
@Fox_ESS_ brand ambassador @IanThorpe recently toured the company's new smart factory in Wenzhou, China, getting an exclusive look at the advanced automation and technology behind one of the world's fastest-growing energy storage manufacturers.
Producing a battery pack every seven seconds, the 46,000 square metre facility showcases how intelligent manufacturing, rigorous quality control, and continuous innovation are helping deliver reliable energy storage solutions for homes around the world.
As Ian puts it:
"Australia has one of the highest rates of household solar adoption in the world. The next step is to optimise it with home batteries, storing excess sunshine for your own use or selling it back to the grid when prices are higher."

Australia's commercial solar fleet is ageing, and many systems may no longer be delivering the savings they once did.
Thousands of schools, businesses, councils, and commercial properties installed solar between 2010 and 2020. Now, many of these systems are entering a critical maintenance phase, with ageing inverters, hidden faults, and evolving compliance requirements becoming increasingly common.
The challenge? Many organisations have no idea their systems are underperforming.
A commercial solar health check can help identify hidden issues, improve safety, and ensure your solar investment continues delivering long-term value.
Is your solar system still performing as expected?
