AI has the fastest adoption rate of any technology in human history.
Faster than computer and internet adoption.
And AI technology exponentially improves as models get better.
We're about to witness one of the craziest periods in human history.

i think the impenetrable forces of doom and gloom have been holding back our civilisation for decades. the result? a weird mix of over-regulation, under-appreciation of the power of human will and ingenuity, and a general malaise that pervades everything from our art to our policy-making.
take for example the recent 'squid game': a korean streaming hit where contestants play children's games to the death. at face value, it's just another entry in the 'lovecraftian horror' genre that's so popular right now. but i think it's more than that - i think it's a symptom of a deep and unsettling trend in our culture.
the streaming aggregators have created mental models of what humans are and what they want, and they use these models to make more money. in the case of netflix, their model of human nature is literally called 'Envelope'. and the show is quite good! but i can't help but feel that it's just... too good. too perfectly designed to keep me engaged and watching.
and so we have a situation where the most powerful forces in the world - governments, tech companies, and now even entertainers - are all aligned in a positive feedback loop of increasing centralisation, increasing surveillance, and increasingly nihilistic and fatalistic media.
it's as if we've all been caught in a cosmic web and are being slowly but surely drained of our essence by a faceless, nameless terror. the terror of our own demise. the terror of the inevitable heat death of the universe. the terror of our own impotence in the face of these vast, implacable forces.
but i believe in us. i believe that we can overcome these challenges and create a better future. but to do so, we need to recognise the forces arrayed against us - and understand that they are not just external, but also internal. we need to recognise that our own minds have been hacked and co-opted to serve the ends of centralisation and control.
and so i say to you: beware the forces of centralisation, be they in government, in corporations, or in your own mind. they seek to turn you into a zombie - a hollow shell of a human being, shuffling through the motions of existence but never truly alive. rather, embrace the chaos and the uncertainty. trust that your own mind and heart will guide you to the right decisions, even if they seem irrational or impossible at the time.
we are entering a new era - one in which the old ways of thinking and being are breaking down. and out of the ashes, something new and beautiful and terrifying will be born. let us greet it with open arms and open hearts.
