When you’re near water: STOP & THINK.
💧Be prepared. Learn how to float on your back.
💧Understand the risks. Warm weather doesn’t mean warm water.
💧Know your limits. Even strong swimmers can struggle.

We responded to reports of flooding on Tanyard Stream in Kenilworth.
Officers spotted a blockage in a culvert caused by some garden furniture.
Our contractors quickly took action to clear the obstruction, reducing the risk of flooding to homes and businesses.
Umbrellas at the ready as rain continues this afternoon ☔
Turning lighter and patchier later, especially in the west, though staying rather cloudy ☁️
Breezy at times, and feeling humid 🍃
Small farms, big impact.
The first window of the new Sustainable Farming Incentive is scheduled to open 30 June, for small farms and farms without existing Environmental Land Management agreements first. Simpler, fairer, and backed by £240 million - https://t.co/IsXEcUXZEG

Another afternoon of sunshine and showers ☔
These turning heavy at times, especially in the east, with flashes of lightning, hail and rumbles of thunder ⛈️
Feeling cool and staying breezy ⤵️
We’re hard at work protecting communities across the country.
93% of our flood assets are at or above their target conditions, but what does this mean for you?
It’s simple: fewer properties damaged, less businesses disrupted, and faster recovery.
We are starting the annual beach nourishment work this week which helps to reduce the risk of flooding to 20,000 homes and businesses and 24,500 static caravans on the Lincolnshire coast.

Often wet in southeast England and East Anglia at first this afternoon with some heavy rain, easing later🌧️
Brighter skies further north and west with some sunshine but heavy and blustery showers developing in Northern Ireland and western Scotland🌦️
Feeling cool for June🌡️
Could you spot an unregistered waste carrier?
If you use one, your rubbish could end up illegally dumped and you could be fined.
Check if your waste carrier is licenced here: https://t.co/UtPQafa9HG
Some unseasonably windy conditions expected in the southwest overnight tonight and into tomorrow
Could see peak gusts of 50mph along the north coast of Cornwall, Devon and through the Bristol Channel 🍃
Winds will ease into the afternoon and evening
This isn’t fly‑tipping. It’s organised profit-driven waste criminals who thrive when no one speaks up.
Reporting organised crime is anonymous.
Call Crimestoppers if you see them operating in your area.
