A woman in a NYC grocery store got into it with a staff member over a bag of grapes. The sign said $2.99 a pound. The bag came in a little over a pound at checkout, so the total was $3.34. She immediately decided this was a scam.

Then she proudly announced that she had graduated from high school, as if that settled the math.
