Day 34.

Eric Won Choi stiffed me on wages for a full year. The Labour Office ruled in my favor. Yet he ignores the ruling, betting I’d be too broke after a year with zero income to actually fight him in court.

That bet just got called.

I’m done posting updates. I’m taking him to court to recover every cent he owes me. I have the ruling. I have the contract. What I don’t have is the money to fight someone who’s counting on me not being able to.

Now I need the community to help. Every RT and every contribution makes it more expensive for him to keep playing games.

Time to make him pay. 🔥

Day 33.

Eric Choi refused to pay me for a year. I took it to the labour office and I was proven right. He still refuses, betting that having gone a year without wages, I can’t afford to force him to pay.

And if I talk about it in public? Korea’s defamation law is built so that he can threaten me even when I’m telling the truth.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been burned here. As a foreigner I’ve been caught in the same gaps before: no written contract, no leverage, and a legal system where speaking up is the thing that gets punished, not the harm itself. That’s not a law protecting the innocent. It’s a law protecting whoever can afford to weaponise it.

I have nothing left but my voice. So I’ll keep using it, so the next person who comes here doesn’t end up where I am.

One year ago, exactly in July 2025, Eric Choi went to jail and The Guild came to an end. I wasn’t fired or given notice about anything directly.

I was one of the last two employees taking care of the project with my own money. Getting further into credit card debt, unable to pay my bills and even rent.

Upon his release, he wrote a letter from jail only asking us to commit fraud in order to collect funds from @movement_xyz for him to use on his lawyer.

On his release, he claimed that he had always wanted to “downsize” and that I didn’t deserve to be paid.

While I was homeless, he was complaining that he was disappointed in me for not visiting him while he was in jail.

I’m owed $50,000+ and I’m not the only one, there are many whose lives he has ruined and not once did he take responsibility for his actions. So, I will keep posting to make sure everybody is aware of what kind of person he is and serve as a warning.
