Maybe if the American Supreme Court and Conservatives started caring for babies when they were school aged before trying to pretend to care while they’re zygotes in utero we’d see happier communities and generations actually growing up.

In 2014 Peel police killed Jermaine Carby after carding him at a traffic stop. Now, Peel police are harassing one of his fiercest advocates; his cousin La Tanya Grant.
There's a reason why there is an overwhelmingly disproportionate amount of missing and murdered Indigenous women. This shit is still happening and will continue to so long as we allow to exist a system whose power is dependent on the racism from which this country was formed.
The "Aboriginal Studies" unit I had in school condemned residential schools, but this was, along with all atrocities committed by settlers, understood to be a thing of the past. It failed to acknowledge how this history of inequity established and perpetuated structures of power
in Canada. By ignoring this, I grew up being told that this injustice was a thing of the past, or how things are much better now, as if it's been fixed. In this way, whiteness controls the narrative, feigning accountability while mainting the status quo.
Hey! Hope you are all living on the threshold of paradise. A scary scary movie I was a part of called Queen of Spades is coming to VOD on June the 15. I got to hangout with @BlochJamie again which is a truly wonderful thing. Check out the trailer here!! https://t.co/LFaYdMDKN5

The impression I had always stuck with me and from all I have heard he was such a beautiful and loving person, the special kind that makes everything a little lighter. Thank you to everyone who has been sharing stories of their time with him. Sending love to Jahmil and all of you
I didn't know Jahmil very well, but in the few times we met, he was so explosively kind, charismatic and truly interested and invested in every interaction. I immediately felt accepted and got a sense of the deep compassion that so many others had expressed was within him.
