@BrandonWarmke Where are you getting the idea that search committees look up giving histories? Sounds unethical. Your premise is problematic. Second, yes, if a candidate gave to Mitt Romney or Chris Christie, I see no reason they'd be less likely to be hired.

@BrandonWarmke 1) I've been on many search committees & have never heard a word about a candidate's politics; 2) They love their prestige, so if the person does excellent work, it's good for Princeton; 3) Liberals & blue states elected Mitt Romney & Chris Christie as Governor. That's a start.
