Our #Construction team, in partnership with Lancashire Constabulary, has been granted planning for the redevelopment of a former Runshaw College site into a new police station.

John Hartnett, Managing Director said “We are glad to be working with Lancashire Constabulary to deliver their new police station in Euxton.

"Our works will see us deliver the refurbishment, conversion and fit-out of the existing building, while incorporating internal alterations and associated external works. It has greater effect that the site is on our doorstep and the completion of this project will bring lasting impacts to the local communities for generations to come.”

Our Civil Engineering team, with client Preston City Council, are set to start on site in the summer as planning is approved for Moor Park and Waverley Park improvements.

Gavin Hulme, our Operations Director commented: “It's great news that the planning applications have been passed for Waverley and Moor Parks. We have been working with Preston City Council, relevant stakeholders and our design teams over the last 12 months to ensure the works will bring lasting improvements to these two important parks.

Well done to our first 2025 World of Work Experience (WOWEX) cohort!

The group was made up of 14 students from Preston College, Runshaw College, Burnley College, Winstanley College, Hutton Grammar School and Sixth Form, Hulme Grammar School, St Michael's Church of England High School Chorley, Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy, St Aidens High School, Hope Academy and Cardinal Newman College Preston.

The students spent the week immersed in our different divisional operations, experiencing challenges and tasks from planning, bid writing, design management, quantity surveying, site management, programme planning, risk registers and risk assessments, and engineering.

Our Construction team is currently on site at Rumworth School in #Bolton for client Clear Futures.

As part of our ambition to leave a legacy beyond the build, our masonry contractor on the scheme ECR generously donated new tools and equipment to the school, allowing for the students to hone their skills in becoming the next generation of bricklayers.

The works will see the team increase capacity and improve resources for group activities at the outstanding special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school.

Rowland Homes Limited has completed the purchase of a residential development site off Stanifield Lane in Farington from Maple Grove Developments and @LancashireCC, as part of the proposed #Lancashire Central site development.

Our Construction team have proudly handed over the new county pitch and training area, we've also just began working on the £7m+ pavilion.

Set over two floors, the pavilion will include training spaces and facilities for players and staff, storage spaces and a multi-function room complete with bar and kitchen facilities.

We are delighted that Maple Grove Developments has reached practical completion of the £45m+ Animate leisure scheme for Preston City Council . Built by Eric Wright Construction, work started on site in January 2023, and the construction phase was completed on time and within budget.

Animate is being delivered by Maple Grove Developments, in partnership with Preston City Council, and is set to officially open in spring 2025 with Sanderson Weatherall being appointed as the estate manager.

Well done to our #CivilEngineering team who have been highly commended for their successful Clyde Bridge project at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (National) North West Awards 2024

The project was led by our Contracts Manager Antony Mulligan, for client South Lanarkshire Council, and involved a 90m span modular bridge launch over the River Clyde.

Antony commented "It's great to be highly commended for our work at Clyde Bridge, the new bridge has delivered a new community link along with a range of sustainability and social value benefits.
