I think Hurzeler has improved Brighton a lot when it comes to handling different types of games with the ball. Whatever the opposition does, the players have clear solutions ready, even with a more principle-driven approach than De Zerbi, who was in charge before him.
Teams that like to build up from the back are constantly creating new solutions from goal kicks this season in order to beat the increasingly common man-to-man press. Examples from Como and Racing Santander.
A clear trend in the build-up phase this season: sacrificing fewer players near the ball and using the GK more actively to arrive with better conditions higher up the pitch.
