There is absolutely no political, ideological or tactical justification for killing unarmed civilians, including Women.
NSCN-IM & its proxy Kamson faction have utterly lost their moral compass & political legitimacy for repeatedly targeting unarmed civilians.

The proposed visit by ANSAM to Makhan via NH-202 raises concerns about the sequence of events that led to tensions in the region. It shouldn’t be forgotten that the earlier disputes along the NH-202 corridor contributed to the deterioration of relations between communities, eventually culminating in tragic incidents, including the killing of three Kuki-Zo pastors in the Makhan area.
Given the fragile security situation, it is worth asking whether large public rallies through sensitive areas are necessary at this time. Would it not be more prudent to allow the government and relevant authorities to address the issues through dialogue and lawful processes rather than actions that could further inflame tensions?
There are also concerns regarding reports and videos circulating on social media that allegedly show armed groups involving young people in military-style activities. Such allegations, if true, require urgent attention from the district administration, police, and security forces. Any form of radicalization or encouragement of violence among youth should be investigated impartially and addressed in accordance with the law.
At a time when Manipur desperately needs peace and reconciliation, all stakeholders must exercise restraint and avoid actions or rhetoric that could deepen divisions or reignite conflict. The priority should be the safety, stability, and peaceful coexistence of all communities.

@manipur_police 5 Kuki families lost their homes to Hate & had their lives uprooted but you made sure to specify that they were "KUTCHA HOUSES"?? @manipur_police your choice of words in describing the tragedy says everything about how you regard & view the victims.

Kharam Vaiphei Village, a peace-loving community that supplied fresh vegetables to Singda Kadangband during the COVID-19 pandemic, is now under attack. Homes have been burned. It is heartbreaking when acts of kindness and peace are repaid with violence. #Manipur
Vaiphei Council Condemns Burning of Kharam Vaiphei Village
Churachandpur, May 31, 2026 — The Vaiphei Peoples’ Council General Headquarters condemned the alleged burning of Kharam Vaiphei village by the ZUF Kamson group on May 30 around 2:00 PM.
In a press release dated May 31, the Council called the attack on civilian homes “utterly unacceptable” and said it deepens mistrust among communities. It accused deployed CRPF personnel of inaction, calling it a “failure of will” rather than intelligence.
The Council demanded that the Manipur government and Ministry of Home Affairs investigate both the arsonists and the security forces present. “Justice must be swift, visible, and uncompromising,” General Secretary Lamtinlian Vaiphei stated, adding the community has “buried too many to stay quiet.”

ALL EYES ON MANIPUR POLICE AND NSCN-IM MOUTHPIECE KHANUITHOT-KHON.
Dear Manipur Police @manipur_police,
Please let me know where I can file a legal complaint against Manipur Police @manipur_police for allegedly shielding the Tangkhul secessionist narco-terrorist group NSCN-IM mouthpiece KHANUITHOT-KHON and targeting the Kuki-Zo community without factual findings, evidence, or proof.
1. At this sensitive time, when Kuki-Zo village Kharam Vaiphei was burned, how on earth was the NSCN-IM disgruntled group’s mouthpiece KHANUITHOT-KHON WhatsApp chat leaked to express appreciation for Kangpokpi SP while the world mourned for Kharam Vaiphei? Was this intentional, to instigate violence against the Kuki-Zo community so that both the peace-loving Kuki-Zo community and the Zeliangrong, Inpui community would turn against each other? How on earth did they express appreciation to Kangpokpi SP Rahul Gupta, who had just been transferred from Tengnoupal District, when the village was allegedly burned by Tangkhul NSCN-IM and ZUF-KAMSON? This is a very serious matter. A thorough investigation must be conducted against this Tangkhul NSCN-IM mouthpiece KHANUITHOT-KHON immediately.
2 The KHANUITHOT-KHON Twitter handlers, social media platforms, and WhatsApp groups are allegedly operated by NSCN-IM itself to instigate violence against all sections of society. All these channels must be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators must be punished. You never know — you may find the person responsible for torturing and killing Dr. Kishan and his colleagues through this channel.
3. Regarding the FCI driver Mr. Nitish Kumar (57), who hails from Hooghly District of West Bengal: the incident happened at Roudei (TM Kasom), in Tangkhul NSCN-IM operation areas, not at Shangkai Village or Thawai Kuki, which are Kuki-dominated areas. Manipur Police @manipur_police must apologize for spreading wrong information on this immediately. Please stop spreading misinformation against one particular community.
4. Do you really think Kuki Village Volunteers would sneak into Roudei (TM Kasom) like the United States Navy SEALs, kill an innocent FCI driver, and return without a scratch — especially in the presence of multiple companies of paramilitary forces, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police equipped with several high-tech gadgets?
5. Where is your sense and logical thinking — the basic understanding you were all taught during training?
6. For your information, disgruntled NSCN-IM groups allegedly ambushed their own civilians at TM Kasom on April 18, 2026 and massacred their own people in Hongbei village on March 28, 2026. Did any CSO platforms from Tangkhul organizations raise this issue? The answer is NO, because they would face the same fate if they raised it.
7. NSCN-IM is well known for attacking and kidnapping anyone at will. The case of Dr. Thingam Kishan, Driver Aribam Rajen, and Mandal Yumnam Token, who were all kidnapped and brutally murdered, is still fresh, and NSCN-IM’s attack on Kanngam Alfred Arthur on March 18-19, 2024 during the Lok Sabha election campaign is well documented.
Last but not the least, This is my humble appeal to Manipur Police @manipur_police to reopen the case of Dr. Thingam Kishan- MCS officer, his driver Aribam Rajen, and Mandal Yumnam Token immediately.

The rally was also organised in strong protest against the failure of the authorities to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators involved in the brutal killing of three Kuki-Zo church leaders.
