🛡️ Online abuse knows no borders, and tackling it requires collaboration across sectors and countries.

On 3 September, Philip Struyf will join the Dutch-German exchange on tackling online abuse, hosted by the Dutch Cloud Community (DCC) and @eco_EN. 🔒 733,186 .eu domain names were secured with DNSSEC at the end of the reporting period, representing 19% of the .eu portfolio.

Following a decline in Q1 2026 after changes to the DNSSEC incentive programme, the number of signed names returned to the previous year's level by Q2.

Compared with an average CENTR signing rate of 11.2%, DNSSEC continues to play an important role in protecting against DNS attacks.

DNSSEC helps protect against attacks such as DNS cache poisoning and DNS spoofing by authenticating DNS information and helping ensure it has not been altered.
