Before you let Nairametrics mislead you by framing this as though Nigeria has attracted $700 billion (twice the value of its current GDP) from the United States, here is what this deal means.

Nigeria’s mineral resources are valued at $700 billion, and that wealth is exactly what the Nigerian government has allowed the United States to come in and take.

The U.S is not bringing in $700 billion to your country, it’s rather coming to take. The only money they are going to invest in this is just a few millions to settle interest here and there and acquire machinery.
