In a tough loss at Guy K. Traylor Memorial Stadium the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs couldn't hold onto the ball as they lost to Fort Bend Kempner 29-25.

The Needville Junior Little League state tournament has been moved to Sweeny High School. Orange vs West University will play at 6 p.m. followed by Needville vs the winner at 8:30 p.m.

The Lamar Lady Mustangs got a scare in Game 2 of best of three against Galena Park ending the series with an 8-5 victory Saturday afternoon at Lady Mustang Field. Lamar won the first game 10-0 on Friday night in six innings.
