Look, this is obviously a case of twitter being a bad place to have a conversation, my intention wasn't to be condescending but to display openness to being educated

But without any facial expressions or tone of voice it's understandable that you might think I'm being hostile and responding in kind.

You seem quite wound up and like I said before I think you are projecting an enemy onto me where I'm just no one, I'm an inconsequential part of your journey and you can just leave me alone and both of our lives will remain unchanged.

I pretty much exclusively read magazines at the moment because there's just something that feels better about a well written and edited piece

Not sure if this is unpopular or just an uncommon opinion but I believe music critics are an insanely valuable part of the ecosystem

Probably even essential if I'm being honest about it

Not because of the ratings they give but because of the dialogue they provoke

And for what it's worth when I say he does his job well I mean that he consistently reviews new music and remains in touch with most stuff that's going on.

He has some shit takes but his job isn't to have good takes, it's to stay plugged in and talk about music, which he does well I think.

I only really follow the stuff about electronic music.

And you will undoubtedly comment that I shouldn't praise the man if I don't know anything about him, but in the videos I click on, I enjoy what he says in them, so what I do know about him I would say he does a good job.

It's totally ok that you think he does a bad job, but your honestly insane projective response to a relatively innocuous comment on my part is exactly proving my point that it must be exhausting for him, deserved or not.
