FTA published a Request for Information (RFI) soliciting input from the transit industry and the public about how to assess the quality of public transportation service in large, urbanized areas across five categories: safety and security; cleanliness; universal accessibility; real time service data availability; and system reliability. FTA is making $28.5 million in grants available through our Transit-Oriented Development program, funding projects that bring affordable housing, retail, and office spaces to transit hubs, revitalizing neighborhoods and expanding new communities. FTA has had a Transit-Oriented Development planning grant program since 2012 and has funded 160 projects with $132 million. The application deadline is July 10.
