A Torah scroll discovered more than 75 years after being hidden during the Holocaust, is being re-written by residents at Baycrest Centre in Toronto, some of whom are Holocaust survivors. Full story @CTVToronto tonight at 6pm
Today, FSWC was honoured to join @SupportBaycrest and @FTDepths in presenting the Survivor Torah Project at @Baycrest, where residents who are Holocaust survivors participated in the rewriting of a Torah scroll, which was discovered more than 75 years after being hidden during the Holocaust.
During the Holocaust, a rabbi in a small Polish town entrusted his community’s Torah to his neighbour, a shepherd, as Jews were being rounded up by the German Nazis. The scroll was severely damaged when it was found by From the Depths, and is now being restored, letter by letter, by Holocaust survivors around the world.
We are proud to support such a meaningful project.

Wszystkiego dobrego!
The most special picture ever.
Today I helped 2 families of Righteous Among The Nations get to Warsaw from Ukraine.
Descendants of those who risked their lives to save Jews in WW2.
Tomorrow they will fly to Israel, where we will return the debt we have to their ancestors ♥️
UK-born Jonny Daniels, 36, lives in Warsaw. He is the founder of From The Depths Foundation, which aims to preserve the memory of the Holocaust. Since the war began, Daniel has helped thousands of refugees who have arrived in Poland.

On Yom HaShoah, I think of all the Holocaust Survivors and Righteous Among The Nations who made me what I am today.
The first was Elie Wiesel of blessed memory, who gave me his blessing to start @FTDepths
Jonny Daniels founded @FTDepths when he realized the need to care for the Righteous Gentiles who worked tirelessly to save Jewish people during the Holocaust. Jonny will join us live, in Poland, to help us with a candle lighting ceremony on 4/8 #YomHaShoah https://t.co/sWBnvHanqD
